Don't miss the hand offering the glass with the golden liquid.
We have another wall from Brussels
with the same drawing and stating
La bière de qualité or The quality beer.
It is clear that the artist thoroughly studied his subject.
He could have contented himself with a static display
(remember Wiel's), but he did much better.
The surface moves under the right amount of froth (except if you
are British). The liquid comes down with lots of air bubbles.
Waterdrops form on the cool outside of the glass. The bottle
and the beer cast their shadow on the wall. And, before you pity
the poor folks on the top floor for loosing their views, you must
realise that even the windows are painted. The ornaments of the
façade are continued in paint on the side-wall.
Nobody could possibly improve this one. The Art of painted advertisements culminates exactly here.

Botchkarov of the Bravo brewery became Heineken's in 2002.
Caulier is a small brewery from Peruwelz (Belgium).
Not exactly a painting, but certainly exceptional because made of coloured tiles.
