Children's crossing signs in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is one of the very few countries (with f.e. Trinidad & Tobago, India) where the warning triangle of the earliest generations of road signs can still be seen. It is certainly the only country where all our finds carry the triangle. And even here it is only for the Children's Crossing Signs, as the triangle is gone for the road works.

In Zimbabwe, like in its neighbours, it is the girl that is the tallest person. It is also she who protects the boy. This is characteristic for signs of the UK-group, a design probably inspired by the idea of a queen protecting her subjects. The drawing, however, is in my opinion much better, more lively, than the original (see South-Africa).
