Children's crossing signs in Tasmania

I've been told that this sign is relatively common but that the old sign is still around (still waiting for a picture though).

The present sign belongs to the UK-group of signs which is widespread all over the world. Find some specifics at our page dedicated to the children's crossing of Australia, where you also will find the old fashioned version.

I must — again, I mentioned it already in Canada — bring a weird practice to your attention which seems to occur in many countries. Somewhere during the transition from old design to new the clothes of the boy are taken away.
