New Caledonia, as a collectivité sui generis of France, I should think, can take at least some independent decisions. Apparently not about roadsigns because all roadsigns found are the same as in France. That holds equally true for Men at Work and Children's crossings. Or is it perhaps a free choice inspired by extremely bad taste?
