Children's crossing signs on Anguilla

The Valley, 29.xii.2006; pict. Baeten & De Dier

Given the history of this island anything else than the British kind of roadsigns would have been a surprise.

The Children's signs belong to the UK-group of signs —See also Great Britain, Iceland— where a girl drags a boy.

She is rather naughty, because she's putting her foot on the boy's. This ill-mannered behaviour is prevalent in all countries under (past) UK influence but she's nastier in some countries than elsewhere. Look it up in our tell-tale footnote.
