Beranúy is situated in the River Isábena valley. It's between the Monasterio de Obarra —just north— and La Puebla de Roda, which is more to the South.

A nice interpretative panel welcomes visitors at the entrance of the village. There is a description of the romanic bridge and of the mill with the channel. There is also mention of a device for the miller to get an early warning of unwanted visitors.
Good, we thought, that will be an easy and fruitful visit to a well preserved molino. But alas, none of the people we enquired showed the minutest in­clination towards giving us access to the construction.
