The worker with his sleeves rolled up could only come from France (the so-called man from Alençon) or from Turkey. The latter is more likely in my opinion, because Turkish men make larger heaps just like our man here.

Our second find from almost twenty years later is the ugly kind which is found nearly everywhere in Russia, and in many of its satellites (e.g. Belarus, Lithuania) with only the slightest differences. This is not comforting news for roadsign collecting people.
