Not much of the former mill remains. According to an information panel on site, the mill was demolished in the 1970s and only the underhouse (3) was preserved.
From the first half of the twentieth century the mill produced electricity for Sallent. From the 1950s onwards the mill was no longer powered by water, but by electricity from the nearby hydroelectric power station. She continued to grind grain until she was demolished.
