Bonaire belongs to the Leeward Antilles and is a special municipality of The Netherlands.
It is therefore not a surprise that our small sample reveals roadsigns similar to an old design found in the Netherlands.
The same drawing is also found on
Sint Eustatius, also a special municipality.
Curaçao was sampled in the same year and also belongs to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
It is remarkable that the Children's Crossing Signs there belong to the Mediterranean group (explained in
Malta).
Curaçao is a country, not a municipality, in the Kingdom. Maybe the municipalities don't have the freedom to spend
their money on newer roadsigns?
