Falling Rock Signs in Ecuador

General San Martín had a dream: one great unified big Latin-American country. But it came out an illusion and he died in France, embittered.

Today the results of our fieldwork could perhaps give him some consolation : Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru all plant very similar warning signs.

All these countries find each other at the high end in our boulder count, with one country bringing together in one sign even more than the 42 boulders we see here!

They have also in common that the warning sign features a vehicle often equipped with lights and a license plate, sometimes even with a driver (see Argentina).

We are eagerly waiting for samples found in Columbia and Venezuela. Someone should go there for some sampling.
